Many people have no more than one or two urinary tract infections in their lives. Others, especially women, get them frequently. These women become frustrated by the pain and worry and want to know how not to get them anymore.
If the reason for getting recurrent urinary tract infections is a physical difference from the way most people's bodies are constructed (an anatomic abnormality) or a blockage inside the urinary tract, surgery may be the only way to keep future infections away.
Most people who get urinary tract infections over and over, however, need other solutions.
